I remember that! I desperately wanted to be one of those Catholic creatives, but I was totally wrapped up in building my own failure. Lol. My company was making $1.5 million when it cratered.

I know what you mean about those moods—they are treacherous. It’s best to step away from everything vital when you see them coming.

I’m not doing “goals” this year. It’s always been a failure. I load up too much, overwhelm myself, and then freeze. What *has* worked, creatively, at least, is a sort of random diligence to a general idea. It’s frustrating to track, but things happen after a flurry of activity, so…good? I think so.

I did a few of these habits consistently.

I wrote every day.

I looked at the bank account about once a week.

I didn't end up planning my days or weeks ahead. I'll have to work on that more this year.
